The 556 original photos for this published test set total about 490 MB. Every test image is rendered from them on the fly by the deterministic generator in generator/generate.mjs, which produces byte-identical pixels in every browser and in Node; each render is checked against the SHA-256 in the manifest. The Python script downloads the originals and metadata for one section or all, with resume and checksum verification; node generate_inputs.mjs then writes the verified PNG files. Use each case’s “Download exact case” button to export a single rendered PNG.
Download instructions (Python 3 and Node.js)
Save the collection script above, then run:
python3 download_dataset.py --output barcode-data
node barcode-data/generate_inputs.mjs --dir barcode-data
For a smaller download, add --section perspective to both commands. Reuse the same output folder to skip verified photos. Rendering the complete set needs additional disk space for the generated PNGs.
One card per source photo; collages are shown separately. Select a view for all photos or choose an available modification on an individual card. Global views show only photos with that variant.
Blur and low resolution are scaled to each barcode’s estimated size: blur of 0.40 narrow modules, downsampling to 1.5 pixels per module (and at least to half size). Two barcode-free photos use image-size settings instead. Use “Inspect at 100%” to see detail that thumbnails hide.
