# Dataset license and attribution

Photographs: Open Food Facts contributors, CC BY-SA 3.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/). Individual source and original-image links, available author credit and retained license evidence are in ATTRIBUTION.json. Acquisition records did not resolve individual uploader identities; the supplied credit is retained. No endorsement by contributors is implied.

Modified images: rotations, perspective, blur, downscaling, lighting, barcode ink recoloring, background tinting, channel swaps, collage assembly and upscaling by Florian Nick, 2026; modifications are described per case. These image adaptations are also shared under CC BY-SA 3.0. Thumbnails are resized JPEG adaptations, not benchmark inputs.

Open Food Facts database metadata is available under ODbL 1.0 (https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/). Our distributed dataset metadata contributions are offered under the same license.

Our project reserves this set for production-release evaluation and excludes it from our training/tuning/development/casual runs. This is an internal methodology policy, not an additional restriction on rights granted by the original licenses. External device reproduction and inspection are welcome.

Scanner engine licenses and notices are included under vendor/. Public reproduction does not certify post-transformation readability or an untouched holdout.
